37 percent of children under 17 years sharing personal information with people who do not know. Although 69 percent say they are no guidelines in your home in relation to what is shared on the Internet, over a third give out personal information to strangers. This includes dissemination of information such as age, school, mail, phone, address or family name. 38 percent, in turn, publish photos online with friends. 15 percent had experienced some discrimination situation online.

The above data is drawn from the survey "Your online privacy: Browse protected" by the Microsoft Corporation under the 5 th edition Week in Security. The presentation of the survey was conducted in the newly renovated offices of Microsoft, with the participation of the Platform for an Internet free of discrimination, the Inadi.

The questions in the survey were added those concerning the issue of discrimination on the Internet: 15 percent of teen-age people who participated were discriminated online, 16 percent of the respondents received intimidation or threats in any network, 54 percent did not make the complaint and only 16 percent of teens talked to his parents.

The survey was conducted specifically in Argentina in order to realize the real situation regarding the protection and socialization of private information in the network.
